Filmed in Taylor – Infamous (2006)

Having worked in the entertainment industry. Something I love about Taylor is it’s history in the film. I love figuring out location shots and seeing what has changed.

Infamous released in 2006 staring Toby Jones as Truman Capote. Looks into him interviewing murderers Dick Hickock and Perry Smith.

This is from a street scene on east 2nd street. The Bohl’s family has deep roots in Taylor, so I have no doubt that was a real store. Now the street is home to new local businesses, including the new restaurant Mixtape.

Cameron Park Zoo

Took a trip to Waco, TX to visit Cameron Park Zoo. If you haven’t been there it is one of the better Zoos in the Central Texas area.

Bluebonnet Season

Looks like it is starting to be bluebonnet and wild flower season! Where are some of your favorite spots to grab a pic?

The Loose Screw Beer House & Garden

The Loose Screw is one of my favorite weekend spots. Luckily living 2 blocks away make it an easy walk with the kids. It is located at Old Taylor High. Has a large outdoor area with lots of tables. Lot of room for kids to run around in the school fields. Food Trucks, live music, etc…

Oh yeah, they also have beer and wine. 42 rotating taps! Everyone is bound to find something they like. There are even non-alcoholic drinks.

Don and Tammy are awesome people. If you have some time on the weekend it is an easy drive and a nice way to spend the afternoon.
