Front Walk-up Project – update

I don’t take enough before pictures, but this 100 year old sidewalk was buried under brick pavers for some reason. It is not complete level, but not bad enough to cover..

One of the big issues with Taylor is it is built right on clay, so with Texas heat and rain, a lot of things move. Thankfully they built everything better back in the day so we don’t have to destroy it. Luckily now there is technology that can fix it. Currently getting some bids on sidewalk leveling so it can be completely restored

Something that I found useful for moving all those pavers was this 2-wheel dolly with the large wheels. Made it much easier to move versus using the wheelbarrow.

Update – 03/20/2020

Allison got out and moved the pavers and finished cleaning up the sidewalk. Looks great! It will be real nice when leveled out.

I am now in the process of reusing all the pavers to make a back patio. It’s nice being able to save the older pavers on the right from when the home was originally built. They were buried under about 6 inches dirt and rocks. reduce/reuse/recycle

About The hipster
About Ryan - For one I never really considered myself a hipster, but most of my suburban Co-worker thought so, I have a beard and glasses. So I ran with it.
